Everyone living thing (that’s us!) has an aura of light. The light is composed of all the colors in the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
Those same seven colors are the very ones assigned to the seven chakras. Chakras are energy centers in the body; they are like interrelated spirals. They start at the base of the spine and go up to the crown of the head each one spiraling into the ones above. Healthy energy flows in happy swirls that make us feel like a million bucks, stuck energy is what makes us feel blah and depressed.
It is believed that if there is trouble in one chakra, the energy can’t flow freely in the others. Those who work with energy use colors and gemstones to encourage the body (the person) to release stuck energy. This is a brief recap of the chakras and their related colors and body parts.
