In fashion, what goes around comes around, and so it is with the shirt dress. Suddenly, these classics look like just the update our spring wardrobes need.
Black is and always will be the new black.
Each season an item or color emerges and tries to nudge out black. For Fall 2010, Camel is the IT color. It figures that the color of the season is camel, a color we all grew up with. Camel coats were practically ubiquitous for school girls during the 60s and 70s. The industry is appealing to our nostalgia like never before by bringing back the 50s, 60s, and 70s in terms of style and color.
Just like any other color (black included) camel works for some better than others. In comparison, black probably works better for more complexions. Camel is a tricky color to wear around the face unless you’re a redhead, a strawberry blonde, or have the skin tones that make you “an Autumn.” If you’re none of those, considering adding camel in the form of accessories like belts, shoes, boots, or bags.
